Understanding Digital Marketing & SEO

As an SEO specialist I’ve worked in digital marketing for about the past eight years and that’s been with businesses and organisations of all sizes locally here in Wollongong nationally across Australia and globally as well.

I’ve had clients who’ve been based overseas in various locations and basically it really doesn’t matter what size of business you have. So whether you’re a startup whether you’ve been in business for a little bit of time if you’re a seasoned business owner, I know that from this training you will take away lots of new things that you can walk away and start to implement as a result of this this session today.

Back in 2012 I decided after having my second child that I wanted to move out of the corporate world and build my own business. And so I had this great idea of learning how to build and launch a website which I did but I didn’t realise at that time that pressing launch did not necessarily mean that people could find my Website online!

So let’s have a look at the facts…

  • Google has 90.46% of the search engine market worldwide.
  • They receive over 63,000 searches per second on any given day.
  • An average person conducts 3 to 4 searches every single day.

So when you have a look at the facts and you see Google basically you know having such a big market share and so many of us I’m a user your user online as well. But it’s an absolutely big area and market that really our businesses need to start showing up in.
